ABOUT THE FLYING SHEEP FLOCK COMMUNITY

This is an international fan community dedicated to the Yamashita brothers, Shoon and Leon. It was created in July of 2006 by a Spanish fan nicknamed Irea (puppeteer8@LJ), who also blogs about Shoon and his former group, Ya-Ya-yah, in her blog Ya-Ya-yah Obseshoon. She's the moderator of this community as well. Originally it was a Shoon-centric community, named Shoon around-the-Clock, but in June of 2010, after leaving Johnny’s Entertainment, both brothers re-appeared together with a joint official website and blog, as “the Yamashita Bros.”, so this community made place for Leon as well. On June 30th they announced they were closing the site and blog to focus on their studies. They re-opened the blog on June 6th of this year (2011). The website currently remains still closed. The name of this community, The Flying Sheep Flock, stems from the name of their official site and blog: the Flying Sheep’s Cafe.

ABOUT YAMASHITA SHOON

Yamashita Shoon (山下翔央) is a Japanese talent of Sky Corporation. Before, he worked for Johnny’s Entertainment (JE) from January of 2001 to February of 2010. His name is Shoon, and his surname Yamashita, but in Japan it's custom to put the surname before the name. Shoon was born in Tokyo on 20th December of 1988, and joined JE when he was 13 years old.
As a member of the junior group Ya-Ya-yah, Shoon appeared as a regular in the variety show Ya-Ya-yah from 2003 to 2007 and in the music show The Shounen Club from 2002 to early 2009. He made sporadic appearances in other variety and music shows as well. During his Ya-Ya-yah period he also took part in a theatre version of Stand by Me, in the musical West Side Story, and in the mini drama Satomi Hakkenden. In September of 2007 JE announced the creation and debut of a new group, Hey!Say!JUMP (HSJ), which meant the disbandment of Ya-Ya-yah as two of the juniors chosen to debut as part of HSJ were members of Ya-Ya-yah. Shoon continued working for the agency – now solo. During 2008 he continued appearing in the juniors music show Shounen Club and became a regular in the educational show Hyakushiki Ou. In February of 2009 he stopped appearing in Shounen Club but continued being part of the Hyakushiki Ou cast. In March of 2010 he stopped working altogether for JE. On 17th June of 2010, he re-appeared with the opening of a joint official website and blog with his younger brother Leon as “the Yamashita Bros”. (FULL PROFILE)
